Dr. de Lara joined National Spine & Pain Centers in 2012. He was born in the Philippines and raised in the suburbs of northern New Jersey. The child of immigrant parents, he has a deep-rooted appreciation for the American Dream and desire to contribute to society, both of which have fueled his career in medicine.

He is a graduate of Rutgers University and University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), where he attended the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and served as Chief Resident during his Anesthesiology Residency. Dr. de Lara completed his fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at the NJ Pain Institute of UMDNJ.

Dr. de Lara believes successful pain management begins with treating every patient as unique. He enjoys spending time with his family, exercising and playing tennis.

    Dr. DeLara is a phenominal pain management specialist. I have been to at least 6 pain management specialists over the past four years prior to finding Dr. DeLara. I will never ever have to look for another one. I will stay with Dr. DeLara for the rest of my life. In addition, his nusrsing staff is very professional and his office administrative staff is kind and courteous..

    My first appointment was amazing. From the moment I walked into the office until I left, the office staff and doctors were wonderful!! So polite, friendly and knowledgeable! Had no problem answering questions and were very patient with me.

    I just had my initial consultation. I was pleased at the friendliness and sincerity Dr. DeLara exhibited while we spoke. While so many physicians avoid eye contact and are just unfriendly, I’m very pleased I was able to become his patient.
